Rio Bravo Ranch

Artist friends Debbie Carroll and Alice Leece were offered a short residency stay at the beautiful La Centinela house on Rio Bravo Ranch for 3 days of plein air painting.

La Centinela is a beautifully appointed B&B , 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with every possible amenity one could imagine. Washer & dryer, full kitchen, big outdoor grill, large screen tv, fire pit and plenty of comfy outdoor seating and truly everything you need for a peaceful escape in the gradeur of south Texas. It overlooks a stretch of the Rio Grande and the house is designed with views from every room in the house. And the views are stunning! The town of Presidio is a mere 6 miles away.

We painted from just about every angle around the property, but I must admit, the most stunning part of the property is the back porch with it’s multiple arched windows that frame the views. We painted, we ate, we laughed and relished every minute of our stay which ended too soon.

Thank you again to our host Lauren for inviting us, we could not have had a better time. Time spent with friends is time well spent. Time spent with artist friends is magic time!
