All Those Who Wander - Road Trip Oddities and Memories
Road trips are not unique, only to those on that trip. How you travel. Where you travel to. What you record. How you record and what you remember along the way and through the years. Where you return to and why.
Perhaps most importantly – what have you learned about yourself?
While I could not possibly show you all the places I have experienced over 40 years of travels, this show features stops in Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas that highlight unique, historical, and to some, familiar landmarks of beloved places.
Road trips are not unique, but how we each experience them are, and as a multidisciplinary artist, the visual adventure I am going to take you on will showcase many different interpretations of these road trip stops that I have explored in oils, collage, prints, photography, assemblage, watercolor and sketches. I have learned my creative spirit needs constant sensorial and visual stimulation and road trips serve that purpose. Seeing the familiar with fresh eyes while experiencing the new is what inspires me to explore many different creative avenues and has led me to defining myself as a multidisciplinary artist.
Most importantly, art is a shared experience, and the best adventure I have ever had.
“All those who wander are not lost.”
