Settlers Crossing Painting Day

Spring is coming fast to Texas! My longtime painting buddy and great friend Maureen Kenny made a trip to Texas from Kansas City. We spent one glorious 75 degree day plein air painting at Settlers Crossing in Fredericksburg. It’s a beautiful B&B property with rustic cabins beautifully appointed by owner Melissa Estes. Caretaker Aimee Freitag gave us the grand tour and introduced us to the very friendly animals that roam the property. I worked in oils and Maureen in watercolors. We had a delightful charcuterie board lunch in the afternoon under the shade of one of the cabin porches. Later in the evening we sent to hear BAM & the Tusks play at El Milagro.
